Cee Lo Green, 'Looking' Cast Join aTVfest Lineup

Cee Lo Green (WME, Primary Wave) has inked a multiyear first-look deal with NBC, with the network eyeing a comedy loosely based on his life. The "Voice" coach also has launched Emerald Productions.

The Savannah College of Art and Design will host the second annual festival from Feb. 6-8.

The second annual aTVfest is bringing Hollywood to Atlanta.

The lineup for the festival, hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design, will feature panels and Q&A discussions with Cee Lo Green, Carson Kressley (Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) and the casts of Orange is the New Black and Looking, among others.

Producers, directors and executives from ABC Entertainment, AMC Networks, Cartoon Network and more will also be in attendance.

The festival, which runs Feb. 6-8 at the SCAD-Atlanta campus, will focus on the digital media experience. Panels on the topic include “Beyond Passive Entertainment: The Second Screen Experience” and “Network Branding in the Age of Digital Media.”

Danny Filson, director of aTVfest, tells The Hollywood Reporter that the school wanted to place an emphasis on the importance of digital media in the entertainment industry today.

“If digital is driving the industry, then we ought to be reflecting that to our students and their understanding of the industry,” he says.

SCAD, which ranked No. 23 on The Hollywood Reporter’s list of Top 25 Film Schools of 2013, began hosting the aTVfest in 2013 as a way to introduce its students to the entertainment industry. The inaugural event hosted more than 3,000 attendees.

Filson says, “We are bringing the industry to our students with the express intent of moving them forward in their careers.”
