Celebrity Makeup Artist Gucci Westman Is Leaving Revlon
The beauty guru, who counts Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz as her close pals, is parting ways with the makeup giant.
Gucci Westman has one week left in her role as Revlon global artistic director — she’ll be leaving the position that she’s held for seven years on April 15. The world-renowned makeup artist is known throughout the industry for her high-profile editorial and advertising work and runway genius. And it doesn’t hurt that she’s besties with the likes of Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston and Stella McCartney.
The wife of Rag & Bone designer David Neville regularly designs the beauty looks for the brand’s shows, and she undoubtedly brought an edge and fashion-forward approach to Revlon in her time there through her Color Stories collections.
Revlon senior vp global marketing, Martine Williamson, told WWD that in her seven years with Revlon, “[Gucci] helped elevate the brand within the world of fashion and inspired us to push the envelope in the color collection category. Gucci has left a lasting impression on our brand that will not be soon forgotten.”
For her part, Westman added, “It’s been an incredible seven years, and I loved the variety of experiences. This was a great chapter in my career, and I’m excited for all that’s ahead.”
It’s yet to be seen if another big beauty-brand contract is in her future. Regardless, we can’t wait watch what this remarkable talent does with her next chapter.
