Also wants to step up Ukrainian film production

MOSCOW -- Central Partnership, Russia's leading film producer and distributor, has announced plans to open a distribution office in Ukraine by the end of the year in a bid to save on agent fees, which currently account for 15% of boxoffice gross.

In addition, the company intends to step up cooperation with Ukraine in the area of film production. The shooting of a movie called "Marathon," with a budget of $2.5 million, is scheduled for later this year in Ukraine and a sequel to this year's action movie "Streetracers" will be set and shot in Kiev.
