Charli XCX to Voice Willow in 'Angry Birds' Movie
The British singer joins fellow musician Blake Shelton and a growing list of A-list talent who will lend their voices to the animated film.
Charli XCX will lend her vocal cords to animated film Angry Birds.
Producer John Cohen on Saturday announced via Twitter that the British singer is joining the cast of the Rovio and Columbia Pictures’ movie as turquoise bird Willow.
"I'm excited to announce that the amazing @CHARLI_XCX is voicing Willow in #AngryBirdsMovie!!! More news coming soon!" Cohen tweeted.
The 23-year-old singer-songwriter has joined a growing list of A-list talent who are attached to the mobile app game-turned-feature film, including Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Peter Dinklage and Blake Shelton.
The Angry Birds Movie is set to hit theaters May 20.
