Charlize Theron on What's Next for Dior J'Adore's Campaign: "None of Your F—ing Business"
The face of the designer's perfume gets candid in a playful Q&A.
Dior just debuted J’Adore Eau Lumiere — an updated version of the label’s iconic scent. Brand ambassador Charlize Theron, who first signed with Dior in 2004, appears in the glamorous ad campaign wearing a glistening, beaded and sheer strapless dress with soft, flawless makeup. While on set, photographer Peter Lindbergh asked the Huntsman: Winter’s War actress eight quick questions.
Theron, 40, provided honest yet cheeky answers to queries such as: Tell us about your 11 years with Dior. "I must have been 14 when I started." What do you adore in life? "The perfect martini makes me really happy." And what will be the next movement [for the J’Adore woman]? "Well, that’s none of your f—ing business."
Theron also joked that the Parisian fashion house sought her out after seeing her Oscar-winning turn in Monster. "They were like, 'We want that girl,' " she laughed, referring to her less-than-glam onscreen portrayal of Aileen Wuornos.
Dior’s delicate, blush-hued new fragrance, J’Adore Eau Lumiere, combines citrus (Sicilian blood orange) and floral (rose and neroli) notes and is available now ($114, 3.4 ounces, dior.com).
