HONG KONG -- China's Olympic gold medalists will visit Hong Kong on a three-day tour Aug. 29-31, the Hong Kong government said Wednesday.
The tour was jointly organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, the Home Affairs Bureau and the Leisure & Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong government, with China's General Administration of Sport.
The tour will comprise demonstrations of table tennis, diving, badminton and gymnastics in four venues and a gala performance; 28,000 tickets will be sold to the public. Chinese gold medalists visited Hong Kong in 2004 after the Athens Olympics to enthusiastic public reception.
With four days remaining in the Olympics, the final number of gold medalists is not yet determined, but all of them are scheduled to visit the territory.
