The cop comedy hits theaters on March 24.

The first trailer from the big screen remake of '70s cop show CHIPS dropped on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night.

Host Jimmy Kimmel had help introducing the trailer from Dax Shepard and Michael Pena, the stars of the comedy remake who came along dressed in California highway patrol uniforms to yuck it up.

The reboot of the iconic '70s television series, which starred Larry Wilcox as officer Jon Baker and Erik Estrada as officer Frank “Ponch” Poncherello, will find Shepard and Pena assuming their roles, respectively.

CHIPS ran on NBC six seasons from 1977-1983. The hit show focused on two California highway patrolmen who couldn't seem to escape bad jokes, freeway pileups and chase sequences in L.A.s seemingly numerous dirt roads.

CHIPS the movie will hit theaters on March 24.
