Chris Elliott to star in Cartoon Net pilot

Nate Corddry lands voice role in channel's 'Horrorbots' series

Chris Elliott has been tapped as the lead of "Eagleheart," a live-action comedy pilot for Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Meanwhile, Nate Corddry has signed as a lead voice on Cartoon Network's upcoming animated series "Horrorbots." He also has landed a role in the live-action/CG feature "Yogi Bear."

"Eagleheart," from Conan O'Brien's Conaco Prods. and Dakota Pictures, centers on a low-level television executive sent to Texas to produce the action series "Eagleheart." He finds himself stuck in a never-ending power struggle with his temperamental star/creator/exec producer (Elliott), a veteran action star past his prime who uses the show as a soapbox for his right-wing politics and conservative paranoia.

Michael Koman and Andrew Weinberg penned the script and are exec producing with Troy Miller and David Kissinger.

"Horrorbots" revolves around Thrasher (Corddry) and Blastus, two outsider teenage droids who are only slightly less horrific than the ultrapowerful robots who populate their planet, Killglobe. Now they face their greatest challenge yet: high school. The show was created by Michael Buckley, with Joe Deasy as co-exec producer.

In Warner Bros.' "Yogi Bear," Corddry will play Chief of Staff.

Corddry, who recently appeared in "The Ugly Truth" and "The Invention of Lying," next guest stars on NBC's "30 Rock." He's repped by WME and the Group Entertainment.
