During Monday night's ceremony, the singer addressed his monumental win for being one of 12 stars to have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony — only to be interrupted by his wife.

After John Legend officially reached EGOT status following his Emmy win for Jesus Christ Superstar during the Creative Arts Emmys last week, the singer was still celebrating during Monday night’s ceremony. His wife Chrissy Teigen, on the other hand, is already over Legend's winning glow.

Onstage to present an award, Legend was quick to mention that "it has been an incredible week," alluding to his recent Emmy. The singer won through his executive producer credits of the live production, in which he also starred in the titular role.

"Oh my god! We get it! You won the EGOT," Teigen jabbed at her husband. Despite mocking Legend, Teigen also poked fun at Emmys co-host Michael Che's qualm that none of the winners have thanked Jesus in their speeches.

"Thank you, Jesus," Teigen said of Legend's role in the production. "That's for you, Michael!"

After his win, Legend and Jesus Christ Superstar composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice joined the exclusive class of stars that have received the same honor including Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud, Audrey Hepburn, Marvin Hamlisch, Jonathan Tunick, Mel Brooks, Mike Nichols, Whoopi Goldberg, Scott Rudin and Robert Lopez.

The singer and newly appointed coach for The Voice has won 10 Grammy Awards, an Oscar for best original song for “Glory” from Selma and a Tony Award for best revival of a play for Jitney
