Christian de Gallegos to Head New International Sales Outfit Green-Light
He arrives at the new company from International Film Trust.
Christian de Gallegos has been tapped to head Green-Light International, an international foreign sales, distribution and financing company backed by Jeff Elliott and Chad Moore's The Green-Light Group.
He'll serve as president of the new outfit, handling titles produced under the Green-Light Group banner, as well as titles produced independently by Elliott and Moore. De Gallegos will also acquire third-party titles.
The company's slate includes Atomic Pictures' Imperium, starring Daniel Radcliffe as FBI agent Nate Foster, who infiltrates a neo-Nazi group attempting to create a dirty bomb. Daniel Ragussis is currently shooting the film, inspired by real events.
Green-Light also will handle international rights to Custody, a family court drama starring Viola Davis, Hayden Panettiere and Ellen Burstyn. The film, now in post-production, is directed and written by James Lapine, whose screenwriting credits include Into the Woods.
The third film currently on Green-Light's roster is Antibirth, a sci-fi-horror film starring Natasha Lyonne, Chloe Sevigny, Meg Tilly and Mark Webber.
De Gallegos arrives from International Film Trust, the international sales company backed by financier and producer Michael Benaroya.
Elliott and Moore's producing credits include Phenom, starring Ethan Hawke and Paul Giamatti and now in post-production, and Dito Montile's Man Down, starring Shia LaBeouf and Jai Courtney. Man Down recently played at the Venice and Toronto film festivals. They have two other films in post-production; Vincent-N-Roxxy, starring Emile Hirsch and Zoe Kravitz, and Urge, starring Pierce Brosnan.
