Christian Louboutin Returns to Los Angeles as Oscar Week Approaches
France's shoe designer par excellence is headed to Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills for his 20th anniversary.
Monsieur Christian Louboutin, the inventor of some of the world's most coveted shoes -- yes, the ones with high heels and the red bottoms -- is spending his 20th anniversary in the business at Neiman Marcus on Wilshire in Beverly Hills. And yes, he will be doing his famous "shoe signing" for the public -- those willing to wait in a very long line, clutching their pumps -- Friday February 3 from 2pm to 4pm.
But there's further impetus to show up -- Louboutin has created a special capsule collection for the event with twenty new shoe styles and six one of a kind bags. They definitely won't last long.
Neiman Marcus commissioned street artist Gallo to design the Christian Louboutin outdoor board installed on Sunset Blvd. In keeping with the graffiti theme seen on the billboard, the Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills store will have graffiti inspired windows and graffiti artists on hand completing an art installation throughout the event.
Now, we're going to assume that Monsieur Louboutin will have a few Oscar stylist events while he's here - he often does create custom shoes for the Oscars. Our bet is: they're for Rooney Mara or Michelle Williams or Berenice Bejo or Jessica Chastain. Or all four.
