Christopher Walken, Mark McGrath Join Crackle's 'Joe Dirt' Sequel
'Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser' will follow the mullet-clad redneck on a series of new adventures.
Some familiar faces are returning for Crackle's Joe Dirt sequel.
Christopher Walken, Dennis Miller, Brittany Daniel and Adam Beach will reprise their roles in Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser alongside star David Spade, the streaming service announced Tuesday at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour. Several newcomers are also joining the cast. They include Mark McGrath of rock band Sugar Ray and Patrick Warburton (Rules of Engagement).
The film — which will see Spade reunite with the original film's writer, Fred Wolf, who co-wrote and directed the sequel — will pick up where the first film left off, following the comedic misadventures of mullet-clad redneck Joe Dirt. It is scheduled for a summer 2015 premiere.
Joe Dirt 2 joins a growing number of films from Crackle, which is behind original series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Also set to debut this year are The Throwaways and Dead Rising: Watchtower.
