'Chuck' full: McG to pilot NBC drama

McG is staying in business with "The O.C." creator Josh Schwartz, signing on to direct and executive produce Schwartz's new drama pilot for NBC, "Chuck."

In one of the final rounds of drama-pilot pickups this development season, CBS picked up "Los Duques," while the CW gave the green light to "Reaper" and "Gravity."

"Chuck," from Warner Bros. TV and writers Schwartz and Chris Fedak, is described as a high-concept action dramedy about spies and twentysomethings in the vein of "Grosse Pointe Blank." Warner Bros. TV is producing the pilot, with Schwartz executive producing and Fedak co-executive producing.

"Duques," from CBS Paramount Network TV, is a soapy drama about a multigenerational Latin American family in the rum business.

"Reaper," from Touchstone TV and studio-based Mark Gordon Co., is a comedic drama about a 21-year-old slacker who becomes the devil's bounty hunter, retrieving souls escaped from hell.

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters penned the script and will executive produce with Mark Gordon and Deborah Spera.

"Gravity," which has received a presentation order, will chronicle in a cinema verite style the daily lives of a sexy ensemble of rookie cops and their training officers in Los Angeles.

Caleb Kane penned the script for the CBS Par TV/DreamWorks TV project and will co-executive produce. Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey will executive produce. Charlie Segers will serve as consulting producer.
