UPDATED: Both the "Call Me Maybe" singer and Fran Drescher have extended their limited engagements in the show through June 8.

Call her Cinderella, maybe.

Carly Rae Jepsen is set to make her Broadway debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella starting Feb. 4.

The singer, who broke out last year with her hit "Call Me Maybe," will replace Laura Osnes, who received a Tony nomination for the role. Osnes is exiting the show after a yearlong run.

Jepsen was announced to star in the musical production for 12 weeks. However, since beginning performances, that limited engagement has been extended through June 8.

"Broadway has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented cast to tell this classic tale," said Jepsen, who began performing in musical theater in high school.

Despite losing some steam after the summer, the show has been a solid earner since it began performances in January at the Broadway Theatre, grossing $44.3 million through the week ending Dec. 22. The production -- which was adapted by playwright Douglas Carter Beane from the original 1957 Rodgers & Hammerstein television musical that starred Julie Andrews -- earned a total of nine Tony nominations earlier this year.

Jepsen's casting adds another star name to the production following the recent news that Fran Drescher also will join the show starting Feb. 4. Drescher is set to play Cinderella's stepmother, Madame (replacing Harriet Harris). Producers clearly are counting on Drescher and Jepsen fans to goose box office during the traditionally slow post-holiday period, as well as the spring, when new competition arrives.

Jepsen, who earned two Grammy nominations last year for "Call Me Maybe," wrapped her first headline tour of the U.S. earlier this year. She also is working on a new album targeted for release in 2014.
