Cineflix taps RDF exec for N.Y. office

Charles Tremayne will launch new branch

TORONTO -- Canadian factual TV producer Cineflix Prods. has hired RDF USA executive Charles Tremayne to launch a New York City office, the company announced Monday.

Montreal-based Cineflix said Tremayne will oversee its factual programming in Britain and the U.S. market, reporting to Toronto-based president of programming Simon Lloyd.

He will take up his new role in July after working for the last two years at RDF Media's New York office where his credits included ABC's "Wife Swap" and "Fugitive Chronicles" for A&E.

Tremayne worked at the BBC and Granada in the U.K. before he crossed the Atlantic in 2000 to head up Granada's East Coast production office and a joint venture with the New York Times that produced programming for Nova and Frontline on PBS, among others.
