Citytv makes appointment with 'Glenn Martin'

Rogers acquires 20 episodes of stop-motion animated series

TORONTO -- Michael Eisner's stop-motion animated series "Glenn Martin, DDS" has moved to Canadian broadcaster Cityty's fall schedule.

Citytv parent Rogers Media said Tuesday that it acquired 20 episodes of the cartoon series, about a dentist and his family on a cross-country road trip, from Eisner's Tornante Animation for an October bow.

Nickelodeon earlier picked up "Glenn Martin, DDS" for Nick at Nite's summer schedule.

News of the Canadian buy was made as Rogers Media staged its upfront presentation before domestic ad buyers in Toronto after its recent buying expedition at the Los Angeles Screenings.
