SEOUL -- France's Canal Plus is to air Peter Lepeniotis' animated comedy series "Bolts and Blip" on its premium pay-TV channel starting spring 2010, following a deal with CJ Entertainment.

The deal also includes a pre-sale to Canal's digital cable network Teletoon. CJ is looking to close deals with other major broadcasters.

In April, CJ signed a co-production agreement with Toronto-based animation production company ToonBox Entertainment.

The 26-episode series has also been shortlisted for the inaugural MIPJR Kids' Jury Award for the 7-10 year old category, and will launch at MIPCOM, which starts Monday at Cannes, with a gala event hosted by the Korea Culture and Content Agency (KCCA).

"Bolts and Blip" is a 3D-HD animation series involving two oddball best friends who find themselves in over their heads after being suddenly drafted into the Lunar League of Robotic Sports.

CJ Entertainment and ToonBox will be screening the series during MIPCOM.
