EmptyBeck starts early at Fox News
Glenn Beck's new Fox News Channel program will debut Jan. 19, ahead of a planned February premiere. Beck was lured away from CNN Headline News this year so Fox News could fill its 5 p.m. slot, and he was able to get out of his CNN deal sooner than expected.

Marketing agency Trailer Park has expanded its TV division and promoted Mike Leathers to president and co-creative director and named Sarah Pierce as senior vp and co-creative director. Pierce was vp on-air promotion, emerging networks, at NBC Cable Entertainment.
New York-based venture capital fund GC Corp. has inked a deal with Israel-based TV provider Yes and Israeli production company Teddy Production to acquire format rights to the series "Danny Hollywood," about investigative journalists who travel back in time. Killer Films, in which GC recently acquired a 50% equity stake, will produce and adapt the story for the U.S. market.
The MTV special "Britney: For the Record" was a solid draw Sunday night, averaging 3.7 million total viewers at 10 p.m. It also pulled in a 3.5 rating in the network's target demo of persons 12-34, tripling the time-period average in that demo and all others.
