CMT greenlights 'Strictest Parents' reality show

Series will feature unruly teens trying to improve behavior

NEW YORK -- CMT will premiere an original series, "World's Strictest Parents," beginning in April.

The network said it has greenlighted eight hourlong episodes to go along with new episodes of CMT's "Nanny 911" that also begin in April on the channel's primetime.

"World's Strictest Parents" comes from Shed Media US, which used to be known as Ricochet Television. Each episode follows two unruly but unrelated teenagers who move in with very strict parents who are set on improving their behavior.

The executive producers for Shed Media US are Jeff Cvengros, Nick Emmerson, Jennifer O'Connell, Jamie Isaacs and Sam Whittakers; exec producers for CMT are Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit.
