CNET to pay CEO $500K salary plus bonus
EmptyWASHINGTON -- CNET Networks Inc. said Tuesday it will pay Chief Executive Neil Ashe a $500,000 salary and an annual performance bonus of up to $400,000.
The San Francisco-based media company had hired Ashe as CEO in October and set his salary at $500,000, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission from late October. The company said in that filing that it would negotiate his compensation.
In a filing with the SEC on Tuesday, the company said Ashe's new employment agreement formalizes a grant of options to buy 1.5 million shares that the company offered Ashe in October. The shares have an exercise price of $9.19 each.
CNET shares were at $9.30 in midday trading on the Nasdaq Stock Market, up 12 cents.
