6 Big Statement Stage Looks From Coachella Weekend 2
Justin Bieber, Kacey Musgraves and Ellie Goulding topped the festival catwalk.
For the Weekend 2 finale of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the stars showcased some fun new style and color switch-ups onstage, while surprise guest performers Justin Bieber and Ellie Goulding brought their top style game to Indio, California.
“I wore this fly outfit not knowing I was going to be onstage,” said Bieber, who repeated how he had not been onstage for two years before his Sunday performance with Ariana Grande. “So I had to get my groove back. I had to get my swag back.”

Taking to the stage for a surprise performance of “Sorry” with Grande, Bieber wore a green stone-washed worker jacket and matching pants by Craig Green (available at Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles) and a smiley face pendant necklace fan and cap from his own Drew House fashion line. “I had to get my groove back … my swag back,” he said.
While her looks were a repeat, Grande’s custom bra top and flared skirt encrusted with 30,000 crystals by L.A.-based fashion designer Michael Ngo (reflecting the head-to-toe glitter and glitz of the Coachella crowd) were the perfect fashion finale for weekend two.
The country star, styled by Erica Cloud, stunned onstage in a floor-length rust suede Balmain corset dress with a slit up to the bust and matching hot pants. And her Southwestern-style jewelry by Anna Sheffield made the look: a turquoise and silver jewelry squash blossom necklace with an Anna Sheffield x Hayward concho earring set, turquoise Tablet ring, Shadowbox cuff bracelet and a vintage turquoise Snake Eyes cuff.
For her surprise appearance Friday with Diplo, the English singer hit the stage in a sheer yellow tunic blouse layered over a long-sleeved orange crop top, paired with metallic gold and fuchsia ombre biker shorts and Versace’s strappy $995 Chain Reaction sandals.
The cool award goes to rapper Tierra Whack, who on Friday wore a fuchsia version of the inflating nylon puff dress she donned in Day-Glo yellow on Weekend 1. Custom-created by Sharon Rahim of L.A.-based fashion brand La Roxx in partnership with stylist Shirley Kurata, the dress “was inspired by a Japanese construction workwear vest that had an internal cooling fan," Rahim told Paper magazine, noting that it was powered by “battery-operated mini fans found on Amazon.” This weekend, she styled her braids to stand up on her head and swapped in matching fuschia sneakers.
For her Weekend 2 performance, Rosalia switched things up by adding in a white bra top with the word “Poderio” (“power” in English) spelled out in silver studs by Freak City L.A., paired with a new eggshell blue version of the custom PVC jacket and matching pants created for her by La Roxx's Rahim. Styled by Samantha Burkhart, Rosalia accessorized with a Chanel chain-link belt, white leather platform sneakers by Naked Wolfe and a $49 limited edition Bling Bling Ice drop earrings decorated with dollar signs, also from Freak City. While performing with J. Balvin on Saturday night, Rosalia donned a $179 light blue Neo Noir Boiler workwear jumpsuit by I Am Gia with the Naked Wolfe sneaks and the Bling Bling earrings.
