"Coffeetails" Will Help Guests at the Golden Globes Stay Awake, But Not Sober

It's called Sunday funday for a reason.

Countless hours spent on red-carpet prep, interviews and the pre-party circuit can be draining for Golden Globes nominees.

But celebrities who are attending this Sunday's swanky affair at the Beverly Hilton need not fret about sending their assistants on last-minute Starbucks runs, or even sneaking in a flask in their undergarments as a solution to second-hour show lull. Official Golden Globes sponsor Lavazza has married coffee and alcohol in a "coffeetail" that kills two birds with one stone.

Guests at the awards show will be served Lavazza's "Coffetail No. 51," which is described as a "mildly alcoholic beverage" brewed with cold brew coffee concentrate, vodka, Gran Marnier and ginger ale.

To drink like the stars at your own Golden Globes Party, find the recipe below.

Lavazza Coffeetail No. 51

3 parts ginger ale
2 parts cold brew coffee concentrate
2/3 part vodka
Splash of Grand Marnier
Splash of simple syrup
Sliced lemon, orange and cucumber
Maraschino cherries
Fresh mint

Method: Fill a 12 oz. glass with ice. In a shaker, combine cold brew, Grand Marnier, vodka and syrup; pour over the ice. Top with ginger ale. Decorate with wheel or slices of orange and/or a lemon. Skewer cherries and cucumber wedge. Garnish with mint.

The 74th Golden Globe Awards — hosted by Jimmy Fallon — airs live Sunday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC.
