Colin Farrell makes three for 'Triage'

LONDON -- Colin Farrell will star with Paz Vega and veteran Christopher Lee in Danis Tanovic's "Triage" and will also take an executive producer credit on the film based on the novel by Scott Anderson.

Tanovic, whose "No Man's Land" won the Oscar for best foreign-language film in 2002, will direct from his own adaptation of Anderson's book.

The film will be produced by Alan Moloney of Parallel Films and Cedomir Kolar and Marc Baschet of ASAP Films, with Tim Baish, Free Form and Mariela Besuievsky of Tornasol Films co-producing.

It has backing from Aramid Entertainment and the Irish Film Board and London-based sales and finance house Hanway Films will be selling the project in May at the Marche du Film in Cannes.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting on location in Ireland and at the Ciudad de la Luz studios in Alicante, Spain, this month.

Rai Cinema and Canal Plus have already boarded the film for Italy and France respectively.

Farrell will star as a photojournalist named Mark who returns home from a dangerous assignment. When Mark's colleague and best friend fails to return home his girlfriend, Elena (Vega), must find the clues to the mystery that's slowly killing her boyfriend.
