YouTube Star GloZell Heads to Collective Digital Studio
GloZell Green was one of three YouTube creators chosen to interview President Obama during a live stream after his State of the Union address in January.
Collective Digital Studio has signed YouTuber GloZell Green, who boasts an impressive 3.5 million subscribers and over 600 million views on her channel.
Best known for her challenge and comedy videos, song parodies and distinctive bright green lipstick, Green first rose to fame in the mid-2000s for attending 600 straight tapings of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and blogging about the experience. She later took to YouTube to post videos with other audience members.
Green was one of three YouTube creators invited to the White House to interview President Barack Obama as a follow-up to the State of the Union in January. Nearly 500,000 viewers tuned in for the live stream as Green and the other YouTubers asked the president questions from their fans in addition to their own.
Green had a cameo in Kevin Hart’s comedy The Wedding Ringer earlier this year and has fostered custom brand integrations with Ford, Crocs and Universal Studios Orlando, among others.
"This has been such an incredibly successful year with unbelievable experiences, and I am very excited to be working with Collective Digital Studio to create new content to boost my channel and deliver more laughs for diverse audiences," said Green.
A multi-platform digital entertainment company, CDS produces and distributes original entertainment content for many popular YouTube creators and channels, including Rhett & Link, Epic Meal Time and Freddie Wong.
"GloZell's vivacious personality has mass appeal and has led to her building a strong audience and fan base," said CDS president Dan Weinstein. “We look forward to showcasing her unique and fearless sense of humor to even bigger audiences with new and original content."
