Columbia gets 'Dumped'

Scott Rothman wrote the spec

Columbia is happy to be "Dumped," picking up the spec script by Scott Rothman for Michael De Luca to produce.

The story revolves around two lifelong friends who experience a difficult breakup when one suddenly embraces adulthood while the other refuses to let go of his careless, bachelor lifestyle.

Jonathan Kadin is overseeing for Columbia, while Josh Bratman shepherds for Michael De Luca Prods.

De Luca is in post on Jim Sheridan's "Brother," starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.

Scott is developing his script "Fratboy" for Warner Independent Pictures with David Dobkin and Mike Karz producing. He is repped by CAA and Benderspink.
