Comedy Central orders Bobby Lee pilot

Troy Miller set to direct and produce

Comedy Central is moving forward with its untitled Bobby Lee project, giving it a pilot order.

Troy Miller ("Flight of the Conchords") has come aboard to direct and produce through his Dakota Pictures.

The half-hour narrative comedy, announced in March as part of the network's development slate, focuses on "MadTV" veteran Lee's point of view on living in a multicultural world. In the pilot, Lee attempts to bridge the racial divide between blacks and Koreans.

CAA-repped Lee wrote the pilot with Michael Hitchcock & Dick Blasucci ("MadTV"). All three exec produce.

Miller is repped by Endeavor; Hitchcock by Gersh and Rain Management.
