Comedy finds its 'Calling' for HBO India
EmptyHBO India on Saturday will bow the comedy "Mumbai Calling," its first locally produced series.
The English-language comedy is produced by U.K.-based Allan McKeown Presents and also will air in Britain on ITV. Mumbai-based Grey Cells Entertainment served as production partner.
"Calling" centers on the Teknobable call center in Mumbai, "where England has outsourced its mundane day-to-day problems to a team of tech-savvy university graduates."
The show features British-Indian actors Sanjeev Bhaskar and Nitin Ganatra along with British TV actress Daisy Beaumont. (partialdiff)
