Comic-Con: Quentin Tarantino Bringing 'Hateful Eight' Footage, Cast to San Diego

The Saturday panel will give attendees the chance to see the first footage from the director's highly anticipated western.

San Diego is about to be visited by eight low-down, no-good hombres, with the Weinstein Company announcing Friday that Quentin Tarantino and the cast of his upcoming western The Hateful Eight will be appearing at this year's San Diego Comic-Con on the Saturday of the show.

Tarantino and cast will be making an appearance in the convention's cavernous Hall H on July 11 at 1:30 p.m. to talk about the movie, with attendees also getting a chance to see the first footage from the film. The panel discussion will be moderated by Chris Hardwick.

Set for a limited 70mm release Dec. 25 (ahead of a wider digital release the following month), The Hateful Eight stars Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Demian Bichir and Bruce Dern.

Written and directed by Tarantino, the movie takes place after the Civil War, with eight travelers taking refuge from a blizzard in a local business, only to discover that they might be in more danger than any of them had suspected.

San Diego Comic-Con runs July 8-12 at the San Diego Convention Center.
