'Coming and Going' Sold Around the World (Cannes)

Echo Bridge Entertainment takes North American rights to the Edoardo Ponti-directed rom-com, which is also sold in Middle East, Poland, Russia and Czech and Slovak territories.

CANNES -- The Edoardo Ponti-directed romantic comedy Coming & Going will be coming and going around the world.

Echo Bridge Entertainment has grabbed all North American rights, while Front Row has taken rights for the Middle East, HBO for Poland, Grandview Castle for the Czech and Slovak territories and Mysteria for Russia.

Rhys Darby, Fionnula Flanagan and Rizzoli & Isles star Sasha Alexander topline the story of a shy, successful OB-GYN who meets the girl of his dreams just as a freak accident puts him in a wheelchair. Convinced that her attention is dependent on the chair, he stays in it long after his injury has healed.

“We couldn’t stop laughing when we first saw Coming & Going,” said Echo Bridge acquisitions execs Bobby Rock and Lenny Shapiro. “We love Rhys and Sasha and their chemistry. It’s going to have a huge audience and we’re thrilled to be the ones able to bring it to them.”

The Little Film Company repped the sales for the project. Rock and Shapiro negotiated for Echo Bridge.

The Little Film Company also is handling sales for Fairytale of New York and Beneath the Darkness at the Marche du Film.
