Conan O'Brien Asks People in Mexico to Donate Money for Trump's Border Wall
"If you donate 500 pesos you get your name on a brick on the wall," O'Brien said in the preview to his Mexico City special.
In a preview of his March 1 south-of-the-border special, "Conan Without Borders: Made in Mexico," Conan O'Brien walks the streets of Mexico City asking for donations for President Trump's border wall, which Trump has famously vowed Mexico will pay for.
O'Brien held out a mini wall-shaped piggy bank and asked for money. "You would put love in there?" he asked one woman who said that is what she wanted to provide. "No, I need cash."
"If you donate 500 pesos you get your name on a brick on the wall," he said to a man he was trying to persuade. He also offered up an "I paid for the wall" tote bag and a signed picture of Trump misspelling "Thank you very much" in Spanish as "Moochas gracias."
All of the Mexicans he asked in the clip refused to give their money to O'Brien. One man smiled and said "I put this," and jokingly stuck his middle finger in the box.
