Conan O'Brien writers grumble over pay cut

Report: Writers Guild still in talks over their TBS salaries

The Writers Guild is still negotiating how much Conan O'Brien's writers will be paid for working for his TBS late night show that starts Nov. 8.

The New York Post reported Monday that the writers are grumbling over an expected pay cut.
O'Brien made sure his writing team was taken care of when he ceded the "Tonight Show" to Jay Leno earlier this year.

The Post highlights though that a pay cut was to be expected given the O'Brien team moved from a broadcast network to cable. "It's a different pay scale," the newspaper quoted a source as saying. "It's not just writers; it's everybody."
