Condolora is Turner's digital man


Turner Broadcasting said Monday that it has named Paul Condolora senior vp digital for its animation, young adults and kids media group.

Condolora will lead the development, strategy and product development for the various platforms of Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, comedy site SuperDeluxe and gaming destination GameTap. He will report to Stuart Snyder, president and COO of the group.

Condolora most recently was senior vp and GM of new media for Cartoon Network. There, he developed branded products for the Turner channel and services for its broadband, VOD, mobile and interactive TV platforms. He also was responsible for the creative development and daily operations of and the network's upcoming massively multiplayer online game, "Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall."

Before coming to Cartoon Network in 2000, Condolora was vp business development at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he was head of the multimedia department. At SPE, he supervised projects including visual effects for film and TV, Internet games and promotional Web sites.

According to Nielsen Online's Video Census, the Turner Entertainment New Media Network served 98 million video streams in January, up 23 million from December, and it had more than 5 million unique visitors.
