The '911' actress joined protestors alongside her son, calling for the association to reconsider gun control.

Connie Britton had a message for members of the National Rifle Association while rallying with protestors at Saturday’s March for Our Lives event in Los Angeles.

“Do you have children? Are you at all concerned about your children? Do you really feel what we need to have is an armed nation?,” the 911 actress, who also brought her child, who is in the first grade, told The Hollywood Reporter.

“He’s getting used to marching,” Britton said her son. “Today he was like, ‘This march is a blast!’ ... I’m glad he likes it, because it doesn’t seem like it’s going to end anytime soon.”

In the wake of the multiple school shootings that have occurred across the country, Britton finds the current violence as an “assault on our nation,” she said. “I’m here because of my son. I’m here really for all of us. Of course it’s horrendous what is going on in the schools, but it it’s also going on in churches and throughout our communities. It’s an assault on our nation."

The actress explained that while her son’s school hasn’t had lockdown drills, they participated in the recent walkout and “have talked to them about it.”

“At his age, boys are very interested in guns and of course I’m always like, ‘I don’t like guns.’ It’s an opportunity to say sometimes people take guns into school and that’s not okay,” Britton said.

Throughout the rally, Britton was also wearing a gold pin on her shirt that read, “Resist,” something she said was a gift from fellow actress Sophia Bush.
