Constantin extends deal with ProSiebenSat1

Two-year deal to include all productions and co-productions

COLOGNE, Germany -- Leading German indie film producer Constantin Film has extended its free-TV licensing deal with broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 for a further two years. The new agreement, announced Tuesday, will run through Dec. 31, 2011 and include all Constantin Film productions and co-productions shot during this year and next.

Top titles heading to Pro7 under the new deal include "Vicky the Viking 2," the 3D sequel to last year's local-language blockbuster and "Minute of Silence," the new drama from director Uli Edel and producer Bernd Eichinger, the team behind "The Baader Meinhof Complex."

ProSiebenSat.1 has similar deals in place with German outfits Tobis and Kinowelt, as well as multi-year package deals with U.S. studios Fox, Paramount, Sony, Disney, Warner, MGM, Lucasfilm and DreamWorks.
