Constantin Medien on Course In 2011

German rights group confirms revenue, profit prognosis, expects break-even in 2012.

COLOGNE, Germany - Rights group Constantin Medien confirmed its forecast for 2011, saying it expects revenues of between $660 million -$690 million  (€470 million - €490 million) for the full year.

As previously reported, Constantin said it would end the year in the red, with a net loss of between $8.5 million - $10 million (€6 million - € 8 million). But CEO Bernhard Burgener said the group expected to at least break even next year and return to net profits by 2013.

Munich-based Constantin controls German sports channel DSF and controls just over 47 percent of Swiss group Highlight Communications, which in turn owns leading German independent film producer and distributor Constantin Film.
