'Continuum' Renewed for Fourth and Final Season in Canada

There's more time travel for Kiera and co. when the Canadian import heads back to Syfy for a sophomore run.

The final six episodes of Rachel Nichols' time-travel cop drama will air on Showcase and Syfy in 2015

Canada's Showcase and Syfy stateside have ordered a fourth and final season of Continuum.

The time-bending series from Reunion Pictures received a final six episode order from both networks, to air in 2015.

“All great stories deserve an end. I am excited and grateful to finish Continuum with the riveting conclusion it deserves,” series star Rachel Nichols said in a statement Monday. Continuum was created by executive producer Simon Barry, with Patrick Williams executive producing and directing.

Nichols stars as Kiera Cameron, a cop from the future who finds herself trapped in the present and swept along when a group of terrorists escape their planned execution in 2077 by vaulting back in time. Casting on the final fourth season will be announced in the coming weeks.

Endemol handles international distribution on Continuum, which is seen in 132 countries worldwide. The Canadian series is shot in Vancouver.
