Internet markets in Moscow, St. Petersburg near saturation

MOSCOW -- Russian Internet provider Corbina Telecom said it will launch an IPTV service in St. Petersburg before winter. The move is a bid to generate business opportunities in a situation when the broadband Internet access markets of Moscow and St. Petersburg are close to saturation.

According to Russian business newspaper RBC Daily on Thursday, the initial investment will be $1.5 million. Corbina launched an IPTV service in Moscow in summer 2007, investing $12 million.
