Distribution Veteran Corky Lewin Dies at 67

She worked for MGM and Sony and owned Blue Jay Cinema in Lake Arrowhead

Corliss “Corky” Lewin, a veteran film distributor in Hollywood, died Tuesday of complications from endocarditis. She was 67. 

Lewin worked for such companies as MGM, Sony and General Cinemas and most recently owned the Blue Jay Cinema theater in Lake Arrowhead, Calif.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa, sister Doreen and grandchildren Nicholas and Emily.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries in Los Angeles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation or Variety the Children’s Charity.
