Corus gets OK for new kids network

CRTC also greenlights YTV Pow!

TORONTO -- Canada's TV regulator on Thursday gave the go-ahead for domestic broadcaster Corus Entertainment to launch YTV OneWorld, a digital channel that offers international kids and family programming for a 6- to 17-year-old target audience.

Corus already operates Canadian kids channel YTV.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission also gave the green light for a second new channel for Corus, YTV Pow!

The new channel will feature nonviolent kids action programming from around the world.
