'Crash and Burn' adds three cast members

13-part series currently shooting in Toronto

TORONTO -- Leela Savasta ("Battlestar Galactica"), Caroline Cave and Steve Bacic have come on board the Canadian crime drama "Cra$h & Burn" from indie producer Whizbang Films for Showcase Television.

The trio join a series cast led by Clark Johnson ("The Wire") and Luke Kirby ("Mambo Italiano"), who co-starred in the original pilot, "Lawyers, Guns & Money".

Created and show-run by Malcolm MacRury, "Cra$h & Burn" portrays an insurance adjuster, played by Kirby, who maneuvers his way around insurance scams and the criminal underworld of post-industrial Hamilton, Ontario.

The 13-part series is executive produced by Paul Gross, Frank Siracusa, and MacRury and is currently shooting in suburban Toronto.

Elsewhere, indie producer Temple Street Productions has cast Demetrius Joyette ("The Latest Buzz") and Dylan Everett ("Booky's Crush") to top-line the Family Channel sitcom "Angel On Campus."

Frank van Keeken is executive producing the 13-part tween comedy about a teenage odd-couple, which is shooting in Toronto through the summer.
