Credit card scheme defrauded stars

Liv Tyler, Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway among victims

A slew of Hollywood stars are victims of a credit card scheme operated by a woman who ran the Chez Gabriela Studio in Beverly Hills where stars treated themselves to facials and the like.

TMZ cited from the affidavit filed in United States District Court, in which a witness names Jennifer Aniston, Liv Tyler, Melanie Griffith, Anne Hathaway and Scott Speedman as people violated by the scheme.

Maria Gabriella Perez, arrested on federal fraud charges, is accused of ripping off the credit card information from clients and charging approximately $280,000 over a year.

According to court documents, Perez took $214,000 from Tyler alone, according to TMZ.

Griffith has already stated that she is willing to "cooperate with an investigation and testify if needed," TMZ said. While Cher was also listed as a victim in the affidavit, a rep for her told TMZ she was not defrauded in the scheme.
