The ceremony will broadcast live from Santa Monica on Jan. 11 via The CW Network.

Actress Olivia Munn is adding hosting the Critics' Choice Awards to her resume after it was officially announced Wednesday that she would emcee this year’s ceremony.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Olivia hosting this year’s ceremony, and know that she will deliver an entertaining and sharp-witted evening to everyone in the room, and the viewers at home,” said Broadcast Film Critics Association president Joey Berlin. “Beyond her skills as an actress, Olivia’s work as an activist within the industry gives her a powerful voice, making her the perfect candidate to lead this night honoring the best and brightest in film and television.”

Known for her roles in films such as X-Men: Apocalypse and The Lego Ninjago Movie, Munn will next appear in the action-thriller Hummingbird and star opposite Keegan-Michael Key and Sterling K. Brown in Shane Black’s The Predator. Munn will also appear in Buddy Games, Josh Duhamel’s directing debut and the second season of the History Channel’s Six.

Munn, who was one of six women to allege sexual misconduct at the hands of Brett Ratner, also recently penned a candid essay where she addressed the "abuse-of-power" problem existing in Hollywood in wake of the #MeToo movement.

The Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and The CW Network have partnered with the 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards to honor Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot with the #SeeHer Award, which recognizes women who push boundaries on altering stereotypes and enforce equal representation of women in the entertainment industry. Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins will present the award to Gadot.

The 23rd Annual Critics Choice Awards will broadcast live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Jan. 11 at 8:00 PM ET (delayed PT) on The CW Network.
