The long-discussed remake will be filmed at Pinewood's new facilities in Wales.

Although it is still not known who will be stepping into the late Brandon Lee’s iconic shoes, The Crow’s long-discussed reboot now has a filming location.

On Monday it was revealed the remake of the cult 1994 horror film will be shot in the U.K. at Pinewood Studios' new facilities in Wales.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in October, producer Ed Pressman revealed that the new film would aim to start shooting "in the spring." No actual date has been confirmed although Pinewood told BBC News that filming would begin "shortly," adding that it was the studio's first major feature.

The new facilities, which are close to the Welsh capital Cardiff, feature 70,000 square feet of shooting space, including two 20,000-square-foot stages. Its first production will be the pilot for FX’s historical drama The Bastard Executioner.

Among the names that have been attached to star as the lead in The Crow were Welsh actor Luke Evans, although he exited the project in January. Jack Huston is now believed to be the favorite.
