Crowley returns to Foxtel for programming

TV veteran will be joined by Lauren Sidler

SYDNEY -- TV industry veteran Ross Crowley is returning to Aussie pay TV platform Foxtel to take the role of head of programming, Foxtel director of television Brian Walsh said Thursday.

In his new role, Crowley will take responsibility for operations at Foxtel's owned-and-operated group of channels, which includes the strategic development of pay-per-view and new media. He'll also create and develop new channels for the group and head up program acquisitions and the management of commercial partnerships.

He will be joined at Foxtel by former Nine Network Australia head of daytime television Lauren Sidler, who will work on the development of new channels for the paynet.

Crowley relocates to Australia from Hong Kong, where he has been Star TV Asia's senior vp programming for the past four years.
