CSTV game for wireless with deal

NEW YORK -- CSTV on Wednesday announced the launch of CSTV 2 Go, a wireless service that will make it easier for college sports fans to find out more about their favorite teams.

The deal with VeriSign creates a conduit for information between fans and their teams using the company's services. The first step is providing SMS news alerts for individual teams as well as being able to download custom ringtones and wallpaper. The SMS news alerts can include scores per inning, half or period or just the final score.

The service costs $3.99 a month.

There are 100 teams to choose from, including Ohio State, Florida State and USC. The information can be provided for as many as 15 men's and women's sports at each school.
