TORONTO – Canadian broadcaster CTV has picked up Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior for a mid-season simulcast.

CTV is to follow CBS’ lead and air the spin-off drama on its main network immediately following Criminal Minds on its secondary A network from Feb. 16 at 10 p.m.

The backdoor pilot for Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, which aired April 2010, secured an impressive 2.1 million Canadian viewers out of simulcast.

After CBS recently rejigged its midseason lineup, CTV will also shift the Tom Selleck drama Blue Bloods to Wednesdays at 10 p.m. for four weeks in January, before settling back into its regular timeslot on Fridays at 10 p.m. starting Feb. 11.

And CTV will move The Defenders to Fridays at 8 p.m. starting Feb. 4.

The mid-season schedule shuffle will delay the second season bow for the homegrown drama The Listener from Shaftesbury Films to spring 2011.
