TORONTO -- Canadian broadcasters CTV and Rogers Media on Wednesday named Gerry Frappier to oversee their exclusive Canadian TV French-language coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia, and the 2012 Summer Games in London.

Montreal-based Frappier, who also is president and GM of the French-language sports channel Le Reseau des Sports, a CTV division, will develop and air about 1,100 hours of French-language Olympic television coverage in 2010 and 2012.

In addition, RDS vp production Domenic Vannelli will executive produce the French-language coverage for the CTV/Rogers consortium.
