The titular 'boy' of the NBC sitcom tells #pretapodcasts what it's like to work with Minnie Driver even if he's too young to have seen 'Good Will Hunting.'

At 14-years-old, Benjamin Stockham is by far the youngest guest we've ever had on Off the Cuff, but that's not to say he isn't just as self-deprecating and loaded with showbiz stories as the oldest (who, at the time of writing, is Tippi Hedren, by a mere 70 years).

Stockham stars in NBC's About a Boy as Marcus, the bullied son of an overbearing hippie played by Minnie Driver. Stockham admits he wasn't all that familiar with Driver's films before they met (in fact the only film of hers he's seen, still, is Ella Enchanted.) Celebrity doesn't seem to faze him much in general, despite the many comedy A-listers he's begun to work with both in the show (his favorite so far being Tony Hale) and on the big screen. He tells us about voicing a character in next year's Dreamworks film B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherwordly Operations along with Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy and Seth Rogen.

"Even if I'm not in the same room, I'm in the same movie with all these people," he marvels. "It's like, 'Whoa. That's cool.'"

He describes what is was like to begin auditioning between the ages of 7 and 9 (he can't remember exactly how old he was, but he does remember that "when I was old enough to sort of understand it I was like, 'I kind of want this to be a career.' ")

Stockham also tells us how he'll be spending his rather large salary for someone his age and why he's confident he won't go the way of other teen actors who fall into trouble with drugs and alcohol.

"I'm fairly well disciplined," he insists. "No need to worry about that."

When pressed about whether we'll find him surrounded by an entourage a few years down the road, his response is refreshing unequivocal.

"I will not have an entourage!" he insists.

When he innocently points out that he is "drinking water right here. I could be having a soda, but it's water," we are inclined to believe him.
