Cyndi Lauper and James Corden Duet on "Girls Just Want Equal Funds"
The singer and the 'Late Late Show' host reworked her hit "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" to promote equal pay for women in the workplace.
Cyndi Lauper never shies away from fighting the good fight, whether it’s donating her earnings to an LGBT charity or getting behind National Women's Equality Day. Or taking Donald Trump to task over his call to ban all Muslims from entering the country.
The award-winning singer has rolled up her sleeves again to go into battle over equal pay for women in the workplace. The veteran artist teamed up with James Corden overnight to belt out a parody on her signature hit, reworked as “Girls Just Want Equal Funds.”
Take this opener: “I come home, in the morning light my mother says ‘why don’t you make the same as a guy/Oh mama, dear, we’re not the fortunate ones/’cause girls, they want equal funds.”
