'Daily Show' Correspondent Samantha Bee Fetches 'Good Dog' Role In Canada
The Canadian comic/actor will join Lolita Davidovich on the second season of the HBO Canada sitcom created, written and directed by Ken Finkleman.
TORONTO -- Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee and Lolita Davidovich (Criminal Minds) are headed to primetime TV in their native Canada.
Indie producer Shaftesbury Films have brought Bee and Davidovich on board Good Dog, the HBO Canada sitcom from writer/director Ken Finkleman, for its second season.
Davidovich will play a new love interest for self-absorbed TV producer George Findlay, played by Finkleman, while Bee will play a dumb morning network show host.
The 10-episode sophomore season of Good Dog is currently shooting in Toronto.
The Canadian series is executive produced by Shaftesbury’s Christina Jennings and Scott Garvie, and Finkleman.
